About Us

Who We Are

We are a Spirit-led, Christ-centered, healing and prophetic ministry birthed from a deep hunger to see believers rooted in the Word, thriving in prayer, and walking in intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

At Divine Encounters, we don’t just gather, we engage heaven. Through Bible teaching, prophetic utterance, prayer watches, and fasting, we equip believers to live boldly, hear God clearly, and move in power.

We stand on the truth of 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing." This is more than a scripture, it’s our posture..

The Birth of Divine Encounters

It all started with a simple prayer, just a quiet moment with God that eventually turned into a post. The post sparked something; people resonated with it. Soon after, others began encouraging me to create a group where we could pray together.

At first, I was hesitant. I had always been a little wary of groups, the responsibility, the dynamics, it all felt a bit overwhelming. But the push from people was persistent. They wanted to join me in doing the Forty Nights of prayer, and eventually, I gave in and created a small group just for that.

By the time the Forty Nights ended, something unexpected had happened: people refused to let go. They didn’t want to stop gathering. They said, “This isn’t just a prayer initiative, this is a community.” That’s when it became clear: we had to make it a group.

At the time, we didn’t have a name. We were just people hungry for God, gathering consistently. Then, in February 2023, a few of us visited a prayer center in Karen called Divine Mercy. That night, something sacred happened. As we prayed, the atmosphere was filled with the presence of God, deep, undeniable, unforgettable encounters.

It was in that moment, in that sacred space, that both Shon Gathoni (formerly Pryshon) and I knew what the group was meant to be called: Divine Encounters.

And that is how Divine Encounters was born, not from strategy or branding, but from prayer, obedience, and the unmistakable move of God.

Our Vision

To raise a generation that is spiritually equipped, grounded in faith, and walking in divine purpose.

We believe that true transformation happens when believers are fully immersed in the presence of God through prayer, and the Word.

Core Beliefs

At the core of Divine Encounters is a deep yearning to know God, not just know about Him. We believe that every believer is invited into a personal, vibrant, and unbroken relationship with the Father, through Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer is a Lifestyle

We believe in consistent, fervent prayer. Prayer is not an event but a way of life, a continuous conversation with our Father.

The Bible is the Final Authority

We stand firmly on the Word of God as the inspired and infallible truth. Every teaching, prayer, and prophecy must align with Scripture.

The Power of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the active work of the Holy Spirit—guiding, teaching, convicting, and empowering believers to live out their divine purpose.

Intimacy with God

Intimacy with God means walking with Him daily—hearing His voice, sharing your heart, and receiving His. It is in this place of closeness that identity is affirmed, purpose is revealed, and transformation happens.

"Vessel of Honour"

Inspired by 2 Timothy 2:21, our slogan is more than a phrase—it is a divine mandate and identity.

"Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work." — 2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV)

At Divine Encounters, we believe that every believer is not only called but crafted by God to be a vessel of honor—a life emptied of the world and filled with the Holy Spirit, set apart for divine use.

Being a vessel of honor means:

  • Purification: Continually submitting to the refining fire of God, letting go of sin, pride, and compromise, and embracing holiness as a lifestyle.

  • Carrying God’s Presence: Hosting the presence of the Holy Spirit daily, allowing His power, wisdom, and love to flow through us.

  • Humility in Service: Recognizing that we are simply jars of clay, but what we carry is eternal and glorious (2 Corinthians 4:7).

  • Readiness for Every Good Work: Whether in the secret place or the marketplace, we are called to reflect Christ in all we do, prepared to move when He speaks.
